In March 2022, a group of young people who identify themselves as having intellectual disabilities organized a series of meetings with representatives of political parties in Mexico to ask for their commitment to ensure people with intellectual disabilities are able to participate in public life and exercise their political rights, above all the right to be elected to run for office.
