Former Lorain police Chief Cel Rivera will become the newest member of the Lorain Academic Distress Commission, replacing Diane Xander. Rivera, who retired in 2019 after 49 years with the Lorain Police Department, was appointed by Lorain Mayor Jack Bradley.
