8th defendant pleads guilty in TRICARE scheme involving former local coach


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An eighth defendant has pleaded guilty in connection with a $12 million scheme to generate prescriptions for expensive compounded drugs paid for by TRICARE. Thirty-nine-year-old Blake Yoder of Scott entered his guilty plea Feb. 25 before United States District Judge Kristine G. Baker.
Yoder joins seven others who have pleaded guilty, including former Norfork School District basketball coach Derek Clifton of Alexander. The 39-year-old Clifton was with Norfork schools from 2006-2009 and is now a medical sales representative.
The other six are Albert Glenn Hudson, 40, of Sherwood; Donna Crowder, 66, of North Little Rock; Jennifer Crowder (formerly Bracy), 38, of Little Rock; Keith Benson, 50, of North Little Rock; Keith Hunter, 52, of Little Rock; and Angie Johnson, 49, of North Little Rock. Former Arizona politician to report to prison Thursday for illegal adoption scheme

A former Arizona county official who pleaded guilty last year to running an adoption fraud scheme must report to prison on Thursday to serve the first of three sentences in a prison near El Paso, Texas.
Paul Petersen, an adoption attorney and former Republican Maricopa County assessor, was indicted in October 2019 for running an adoption scheme across Arkansas, Arizona, and Utah, in which he illegally brought pregnant women from the Marshall Islands to the United States to give birth. He then charged significant sums of money to act as a legal facilitator of the adoptions, according to 5 News. ....

After receiving information that Green County
Sheriff’s Lieutenant Allen Scott Pillow might be abusing his authority, FBI
agents conducted a ruse narcotics investigation and sought Lt. Pillow’s help
with the investigation. On November 4, 2019, FBI agents asked Pillow to search
