Throughout jamestowns history we have focused on largely on inclusionary projects, locally made products in this retail space. If you look at our projects that were cited at Chelsea Market and pond city market, the majority of the retailers, food providers and makers are local. I think our track record and our reputation in San Francisco is very important, being that we most all of the people here from our company today including myself, are locally from the bay area, and San Francisco. Percent are african american, 20 percent are latino and the remainder are made up of arab american, iranan american owned firms. Starting last year we started tracking lgbe firms and will incorporate those numbers as they become available. Now turning to the contracts awarded during the reporting period, we had 6 new contracts that were awarded. 5 were governed by the lbe ordinance and 4 p awarded to lbes at the prime level. Approximately 3. 4 mill wrupb went to lbes at the prime level and 1. 3 million went to lbes at the subcontractor level. Thats 67 percent of total dollars awarded by the port during the reporting period went to lbe firms. The size and scope of the Construction Contracts that were awarded during this reporting period lend themselves to high lbe numbers. We tend to see the discount playing into contracts under 5 Million Dollars and lbes do really well in Construction Contracts under 5 Million Dollars. We all thought oh, my god this is it, hot dog wrappers all over the place. Enthuse a new handicapped ramp and a new dock, commercial dock on the north side of pier 40. On the south side of pier 40 is an historic speaker not understood if you really want some, thats the place to get it. They get in at 6 30 in the morning. There are boats behind. We can go down on the pier and take a look. Good grief, registered in reno, nevada. There is the sea berg, end high at the end of the dock, giant thing. And here coming up, my alltime favorite boat name. Never again ii. [laughter] this is where activity starts to really build, pretty much had the ballpark headed north. Its very highly used. We had no trouble finding people here. Further south we couldnt find a person. Here is a guy training seagulls apparently. Just a little further up, reds java house. And its a lot of fun for me and i have guests every month who are knowledgeable in the area. And todays area is a broad area, its going to be a quick tour of San Franciscos waterfront. And we have with us today diane oshima, an old friend. Diane used to work for the Planning Department in environmental review, right . Thats right. Youre now good memory. I have close relations with the Planning Department. True. Very close. Yes. My wife retired from the Planning Department. [laughter] and diane is now Deputy Director for planning waterfront planning at the port. So she knows whats happening now and a lot of the history. And chris verplank san architectural historian who knows a whole lot of history about the waterfront.
