Today, our 234 year Old Organization continues to serve the people of the city of new york. We do this through our cultural and educational programs. They include our lecture series, of which of course denies lecture is a part of. Our general Society Library which will be celebrating 200 years next year. The only problem was all of the moderns models were tied to various fashion houses in europe, not in america. Mrs. Astor and mrs. Fish were able to cobble together a very interesting show of new york fashion at last. Here it is. The new York City Public Library just found some of the stills and if you go to their website you will see the fashions. As i said, the models were tied to other places and as you can see alternately conde was making close in different sizes because not all of them were models, are they . So theres more of these apparently at the new York City Public Library and i thought it would be really interesting to see.
