DIMAPUR A District Level Coordinator Committee (DLCC) meeting on National Tobacco Control Programme was held at DCs conference hall, Longleng, on April 17, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and chairman NTCP Longleng, Dharam Raj. The house deliberated and resolved to create tobacco control cells in all the offices under Longleng district administrative headquarters, an official update stated. In this regard, all the departments have been asked to implement tobacco-free office within the next 100 days from the date of notification. All schools have also been directed to register formal complaints against selling tobacco to district level enforcement squad. The complaint should be lodged against shops located within 100 yards of educational premises. The meeting also resolved to form active members or volunteers within the schools and colleges to assist the respective educational institutions to tackle the use of tobacco.
