Uttarakhand BJP MLA Dhan Singh Rawat took a private helicopter to Dehradun on March 9 (ANI)
On March 9, just a week before he was to complete four years as chief minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat was shown the door after a majority of his cabinet colleagues and legislators revolted. He submitted his resignation to Governor Baby Rani Maurya on March 8.
It is most likely that 49 year-old Dhan Singh Rawatan erstwhile ABVP full-timer and current minister, will be elevated to the chief minister’s post. His main task will be to win back the confidence of the legislators, the party as well as RSS leaders in the state and get things moving at the organisational level. ....
