Two school students killed in Faridpur road accident Star Online Report Star Online Report Two eighth-graders were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Barishal Highway at Hamirdi under Bhanga upazila in Faridpur today. The deceased were identified as Sakib Fakir (15) and Shahin Matubbar (16), both students of Brahman Kanda AS Academy in Bhanga, Faridpur, said MA Salam Mia, headmaster of the school. The accident happened when a truck hit and ran over the motorbike Sakib and Shahin were riding, said Omar Faruk, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Highway Police Station. Both of them were taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex with severe injuries where on-duty doctor declared them dead, the official added. ....
Two killed in Madaripur road accident 311 MADARIPUR, Dec 15, 2020 (BSS) – Two people were killed and five others injured as a bus hit a van in Sadar upazila here today. The deceased were identified as Rasheda Begum, 58, hailed from Choturpara village and Ohidul Karigor, 28, an inhabitant of Baromeher village under the Upazila. Madaripur Fire Service sources said the accident occurred at Mostafapur on Dhaka-Barishal Highway at around 3 pm as the bus driver lost his control over the steering, leaving the van driver and a passenger dead on the spot.
