A Shreveport man pleaded guilty to his fourth domestic battery offense. Jevorish Dewayne Dennis, 32, pleaded guilty Monday in Caddo District Court to domestic violence. District Judge Chris Victory handed down a 10-year sentence. On May 25, 2020, Shreveport police were dispatched to a motel in reference to a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival, they found Dennis’ wife who had been attacked and covered in mud. She reported her husband had hit her with a stick and punched her in the jaw. She added that Dennis threw her to the ground and began strangling her. The attack came after she denied her husband the use of her vehicle. ....
