Police Arrest An 81-Year-Old Man Involved In A Gaston County Fatal Hit-And-Run January 27, 2021 Joseph Hubert Laine Detectives say the pedestrian, 23-year-old Devin Valentine, died of his injuries received in the crash at Atrium Health in Charlotte on Tuesday, January 26th. Laine is charged with second degree murder, a felony hit and run, and reckless driving, and he is being held under a $1 million dollar bond at the Gaston County Jail, according to a news release.
