Devils sign 2020 1st-round pick Alexander Holtz to entry level contract | What it means Updated 12:38 PM; Facebook Share Another one of the Devils’ 2020 first-round picks is now officially part of the organization. Winger Alexander Holtz, the seventh overall pick in last year’s NHL Draft, signed his entry level contract with the Devils on Monday. GM Tom Fitzgerald said last week the team was in the process of getting him signed after Holtz finished his season in the Swedish Hockey League. Sign up for Devils Insider: Holtz’s contract won’t begin until the 2021-22 season, so he won’t be eligible to play in any NHL games this season. He did sign an amateur tryout with the Binghamton Devils, so Holtz will get the chance to play in some AHL games in the next few weeks. ....
