Depends on two factors. First, their physical presence in a place, and second, their intention to make that place their permanent home. Without getting inside someones head, the courts and the attorney general have looked at a number of different factors to determine whether a person intends to make a place his or her home. Those include, are you registered to vote there . Do you file your tax returns there . Are does your drivers license or Motor Vehicle registration list that as your address . Thats where your homeowners exemption credit is taken. Thats one factor, among many, that courts look at in determining whether someone is domiciled in a particular location. Councillor yee so one can well, one can have a certain definition that includes, i am here most of the time. This is the place where i stay.
