Woman in critical condition after being shot as she worked on Detroit house

DETROIT – A 33-year-old woman was shot as she was working on a house Sunday in Detroit.
According to authorities, it happened at about 5:40 p.m. at a home near the intersection of Russell Street and Chrysler Drive, near I-75. Police said the woman was working on a house when a dark SUV pulled up and a man inside the vehicle fired shots, striking the woman.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where she is listed in critical condition.

DETROIT – Police are investigating a triple-homicide Sunday on Detroit’s west side.
According to authorities, it happened at about 1 p.m. near the intersection of Proctor Street and Panama Avenue. Police said the three victims and the suspects got into a physical altercation that escalated into a shooting.
Residents in the neighborhood refused to speak on camera, but said they heard what sounded like a gun battle that started with two shots and then what sounded like a gun firing until it was empty.
Authorities said two of the victims are in their 30s and they aren’t sure of the age of the third man. None of the men lived in the neighborhood.

DETROIT – Police are investigating a double-shooting that happened Sunday on Detroit’s west side.
According to authorities he was shot and killed just before 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Braile and Keeler streets. Police said he was dead when they arrived at the scene.
Another man was shot too and police said he was taken to a hospital by EMS crews. His condition is unknown.

DETROIT – Three men were shot Saturday afternoon by an unknown person on Detroit’s east side.
According to police it happened at about 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Wilshire and Park drives.
Police said a 23-year-old man is expected to be OK, but a 35-year-old man is in serious condition and a 37-year-old man is in critical condition.

DETROIT – A 28-year-old woman was reportedly shot by her husband on Detroit’s west side Saturday when she went to recover their children from a bar parking lot.
According to authorities, it happened at about 1:15 p.m. at a bar located near the intersection of Grand River and Pacific avenues. Police said a 29-year-old man left his 6-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son unattended inside a black Acura while he went inside for an extended period of time.
