Oxnard man released from hospital, arrested for allegedly stabbing wife to death OXNARD, Calif. - An Oxnard man was released from the hospital Monday afternoon and subsequently arrested in connection to the fatal stabbing of his wife on Friday. Police said it happened around 9:55 p.m. Friday night. They were dispatched to the 1100 block of West Hemlock Street where they found 27-year-old Karla Cabrera suffering from fatal stab wounds. She was transported to the hospital where she was determined to have died from her injuries. Officers said they were told Cabrera s husband had been the one who stabbed her inside her home. He was found hiding under a car in a nearby alley suffering from multiple self-inflicted stab wounds and making suicidal statements. ....

The incident unfolded around 9:55 p.m. at a home on the 1100 block of West Hemlock Street, the Oxnard Police Department reported. The site is in the Bartolo Square North neighborhood, generally southeast of Wooley and Ventura roads. Officers found Karla Novela Cabrera, 27, inside the house with multiple stab wounds, mostly in the upper torso, Cmdr. Luis McArthur said. Family members, including Cabrera s two children, both under 10, were eyewitnesses, McArthur said. Cabrera was taken by ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center where she later died. ....
Oxnard woman dies after being stabbed by husband in home OXNARD, Calif. - An Oxnard woman has died after being found fatally stabbed by her husband in her home Friday night. Police said they responded to reports of a stabbing victim on the 1100 block of West Hemlock Street around 9:55 p.m. Upon arriving, they found 27-year-old Karla Cabrera suffering from multiple stab wounds in her home. Officers were told that Cabrera s husband had stabbed her before running from the residence. Police said other family members including the couple s two small children were inside the home at the time of the incident. ....
