The joint operation involved Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives, Air Wing, Dog Squad, Fawkner Highway Patrol, Taskforce Sandstone and uniform police. The investigation targeted both criminal and traffic offences in an effort to reduce road trauma.
One offender’s vehicle was impounded, and a quantity of drugs were seized. Penalty notices were issued for traffic offences including exceeding the speed limit by 35km/h, unlicensed driving and driving an unregistered vehicle.
