Mina Greiss was issued a criminal infringement notice for offensive conduct and will be hit with a $500 fine after he allegedly spat outside court as the media scrum and Hayne s victim were leaving the courthouse. There s no suggestion he spat at anyone in particular. Images show the 38-year-old filming from the pavement outside the court. Tempers flared and ugly scenes erupted after Hayne was sentenced for the 2018 rape of the Newcastle woman.

The ex-superstar of Australian sport will be jailed for at least three years and eight months without parole for sexually assaulting a woman in her Newcastle home in 2018. He was given a maximum sentence of five years and nine months. Hayne had been found guilty of two counts of sexual intercourse without consent. He was found not guilty of the more serious charges of aggravated sexual intercourse without consent, recklessly inflicting actual bodily harm.
