Crews have been working to create a film set at Burghley House. | Photo: Stephen Daniels Burghley House in Stamford is believed to be one of the settings for Warner Bros new superhero film The Flash, starring Ben Affleck as Batman. Film crews from Warner Bros were spotted at Burghley House in April ahead of a new blockbuster from the DC Comics universe. Spectators initially believed filming to be for The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson and Colin Farrell, but those close to the scene claim that it is in fact for The Flash with Ben Affleck and Ezra Miller. The film will still feature the Batman character, and Burghley House could be the set for Wayne Manor, the home of Batman, in the film which screens next year. ....

Staff bid an emotional farewell to the store with a collective round of applause on the final day, and people are now wondering what the plans are to replace it. ....
Person dies after Boston house fire An investigation has been launched Fire crews attended the scene. | Photo: Rinalds Tuja An investigation has been launched after a person died in a house fire in Boston on Monday afternoon. Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said six crews from Boston, Spalding, Horncastle and Donington attended the scene to extinguish the fire on Tooley Street at 12.17pm on May 10. The fire service announced the tragic news on Monday evening, saying: “Emergency services in Lincolnshire are sadly reporting the death of a person following a house fire in Boston earlier today (Monday). Fire and police investigations into the cause have began and are ongoing.” ....

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called at 12.17pm to a house fire on Tooley Street. Initially four crews attended – two from Boston, one from Donington and another from Spalding. A further two appliances later joined to assist. Smoke can be seen coming from badly damaged windows at the property and Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said shortly after 3pm that emergency services were still at the scene.
