thrown out of a baseball game, right? so does drinking beer on the pitchers mound. the events that ended with a minor league pitcher being chased off the field. it is saturday morning, it is hln, so glad you re here on this mother s day weekend. i m susan hendricks. nashville where floods that ravaged the city have seriously damaged the world famous grand old opry house. look at how bad it is. at the peak of the floods, the opry stage was under 2 feet of water. workers scrambled to move some of the most precious memorabilia to higher ground as water rushed over a nearby levee. despite the flood, the staff is promising the show will eventually go on. you walked in here right now. and it s just very depressing. but the good news is, the soul of the grand old opry is intact. some of the great technology we have invested in over the years is still intact. so we ll be able to we ll be able to utilize that again when we open back up. well, that is good news. plans ....
island terminal this morning. they say the captain apparently wasn t able to get the throttle to respond as the ferry approached the dock. it hit the pier as it approached. this boat is the same boat involved in a crash in 2003 that killed 11 people. no one was killed in today s crash but more than 50 people were hurt, including one with serious injuries. one passenger says it was pretty frightening. as we approached the dock, it started speeding up. i got a little nervous because i didn t want wondering why it was speeding up so fast. as soon as we got to the port, it just slammed right into the dock and pushed everybody back. there was a young lady with a child there that flew, literally. it was chaos, pandemonium. it was like something i ve never been in, in my life. what was going through your mind when this was happening? i hope i don t die. that s all i felt like. i don t want to die right here on the ferry. i come out here every saturday. i just don t wan ....
