We will fight to protect land for deer
A Romford resident, full name and address supplied, writes:
Oh deer! Once again, Havering takes the surgeon’s knife to Harold Hill.
It seems enough is NOT enough when it comes to the removal of much loved and used green space which has been a blessing to so many over the last year. It seems bursting-at-the-seams doctors’ surgeries are, in fact, not bursting at the seams and it seems, the deer population has a low cash value.

Unfortunately, those honoured dead who made that noble sacrifice so that we can live in peace and freedom has not relevance for meaning for those vandals and ingrates.
As far as they are concerned, it is other times, other customs. ....

Trees spreading Christmas spirit
Cllr Ron Ower, Derham Gardens, Upminster, writes:
In these difficult times it’s great to point out what wonderful communities we have in Havering.
Here in Upminster and Cranham we are very pleased with how active our community is!
We should have seen this year the 10th Christmas Tree festival at Upminster Methodist Church. As they were unfortunately unable to hold this local residents were invited to purchase a tree and erect it in their own front garden and create a community festival around our local streets . ....
