The new bike track, at the recently named Gostelow Park, has been officially opened in Otatara, much to the delight of some youngsters in the community.
The Invercargill City Council has agreed to name a public space the Gostelow Park after the late Derek Gostelow who left $90,000 to his Otatara community.
Close to 8000 people took to the new hydroslides at Splash Palace through the first two they were open, and council staff say the numbers have remained steady.
It's been recommended that a $90,000 bequest to the Invercargill City Council be spent on developing a reserve on the corner of Dunns Rd and Oreti Rd in Otatara.
