Man, 31, arrested for illegal sex acts with underage girl after using false identity on social media By Mary Stringini Darren Garcia VICTORVILLE, Calif. - A 31-year-old man has been arrested, accused of multiple illegal sex acts with a minor who he met while using a false identity on social media, authorities said Thursday. Darren Garcia, 31, of Corona, was arrested on Tuesday and booked on charges of child cruelty, sodomy with a person under 18, lewd and lascivious acts with a child, sexual penetration by force or fear, and possession of a controlled substance for sale. On Jan. 31, the 14-year-old victim s mother contacted the Victorville Police Department after she believed her daughter had been sexually assaulted. The victim s mother reported that her daughter left home on Dec. 19, without permission and returned home on Dec. 30. ....
Corona man arrested at Hesperia hotel for alleged sex crimes with a minor Victorville Daily Press Authorities on Tuesday arrested Corona resident Darren Garcia, 31, at a hotel in Hesperia on suspicion of multiple sex crimes committed against a Victorville minor he met online. The San Bernardino County Sheriff s Victorville station reported Thursday that Deputy T. Kautz began an investigation on Jan. 13 into allegations of sexual abuse of a girl under the age of 18. The victim’s mother told authorities she believed her daughter had been sexually assaulted between the time the girl left home without permission on Dec. 29 and when she returned the following day, the report said. ....
