Elderly dies of Covid, 60 fresh positive cases in district

As many as 60 fresh cases of Covid-19 have been reported from Ludhiana district on Wednesday. The virus has also claimed the life of a 82-year-old patient from the Kochar Nagar market area during the past 24 hours.
The Health Department confirmed 77 cases, including 60 from Ludhiana district, and 17 from other districts or states. In Ludhiana district, eight persons came in contact with positive patients, 13 visited OPD and 31 with influenza-like illness visited the Flu Corner. Besides, eight others, including three healthcare workers and two international travellers, have tested positive for the virus.
Civil Surgeon Rajesh Bagga confirmed today that two more persons, one each from Ludhiana and Sangrur districts, died of the virus. Now, the total number of persons from Ludhiana who lost their lives has reached 923 persons. As many as 400 persons from other districts succumbed to the virus. ....
