NOWSHERA: Over 606 shops were sealed and dozens of shopkeepers were arrested during the crackdown against the violation of standard operation procedures (SOPs) for Covid-19 in the district on Monday.
On the special directives of Deputy Commissioner Mir Reza Ozgen, Assistant Commissioner Sania Safi along with police and Tehsil Municipal Administration personnel raided the bazaar at Sheikh Baba shrine and sealed 600 shops and arrested dozens of shopkeepers for violation of coronavirus SOPs and lockdown.
Also, army personnel were deployed to the bazaar at Sheikh Baba shrine and would remain there to implement SOPs till May 16. ....

NOWSHERA: Over 606 shops were sealed and dozens of shopkeepers were arrested during the crackdown against the violation of standard operation procedures (SOPs) for Covid-19 in the district on Monday.

NOWSHERA: The local administration closed educational institutions for an indefinite period while directed shopkeepers and traders to down shutters by 6pm to stem the spike of Covid-19 pandemic in the district.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Deputy Commissioner Mir Reza Ozgen said that cases would be registered against those flouting the standard operating procedures (SOPs) against coronavirus and would be arrested.
“We give the general public and traders a week time to follow SOPs in letter and spirit as per National Coordination Committee for Covid-19 (NCOC), or else the district administration would call in police, army and Frontier Corps personnel to implement complete lockdown,” the official said and warned that the violators would be sent to prison. ....

NOWSHERA: The district administration on Monday imposed smart lockdown to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic after coronavirus cases reported from 15 areas in the district.
The authorities announced smart lockdown in 15 areas of the district, including Mohallah Babu Garhi, Mohallah Umar Khan, Pabbi, Miangan, Taru Jabba, Rasoolgarh, Akramabad in Akora Khattak and others, following emergence of an increased number of Covid-19 cases.
The administration also sealed seven more shops and issued warning to 11 others besides imposing fine on people for not wearing masks and violating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Meanwhile, three more suspected patients tested positive for the viral infection.Deputy Commissioner Mir Reza Ozgen said that the number of coronavirus-infected patients were increasing with the passage of time as people were ignoring the SOPs against the viral disease.
