Members of the White House staff who work closely with President Trump will reportedly receive vaccines for the coronavirus before the vaccines are available to much of the general public.
White House staff will be vaccinated with healthcare workers and other high-risk individuals in order to prevent any more government officials from contracting COVID-19 before Trump leaves office, according to the
New York Times. Eventually, everyone in the White House will be vaccinated, but shots will be administered to seniormost members first.
People working in the White House should receive the vaccine somewhat later in the program, unless specifically necessary, Trump tweeted Sunday evening after the report was published. I have asked that this adjustment be made. I am not scheduled to take the vaccine, but look forward to doing so at the appropriate time. Thank you! ....

A strong majority of the public said they will get the coronavirus vaccine when it becomes available however, a political divide remains between those who will get the vaccine and who will not.
A recent poll from ABC/
Ipsos found that more than 90% of respondents agree the vaccine should be given to healthcare workers first. More than 80% said that first responders, the elderly, and people with preexisting conditions should be allowed to get the vaccine before it s available to the general public.
When it comes to the vaccine s availability to the general public, more respondents said they wanted to wait before getting it themselves. Two in 5 respondents said that they would get the vaccine as soon as they were able to, and 44% said they will wait. Elderly respondents were more likely to say they would get the vaccine immediately, at 57%. ....

President Trump said the United States wouldn t have a vaccine for five years if not for his presidency.
