From last thursday on the 1800 block of east atlantic avenue. Plain clothed officers spotted the vehicle from that homicide and pulled it over. The suspect ran down one of the officers as they approached. That led to a chase, when the suspects hyundai crashed into parked cars. We have an officer in the hospital in stable condition. The suspect in Critical Condition at an area hospital and investigators are trying to piece everything together. We have the suspect vehicle on location having crashed into two parked cars. We have not searched the vehicle yet. When the suspect got out of the crashed car, he had his hands in his pocket and refused to follow the officers command leading the officers to open fire.
