Report Finds ‘No Pervasive Issues Of Racism, Bias’ In Denver DA’s Office

DENVER (CBS4) – The results of a study announced Wednesday by Denver District Attorney Beth McCann found there were no pervasive issues of racism or bias found in the DA’s office but there were additional opportunities to ensure justice for all. Communities leaders who joined McCann on the virtual news conference commended the report as a step in the right direction but also cautioned it was simply one piece of a larger puzzle when it comes to reform in the criminal justice system.
Front Range Community College has hired Abenicio Rael to be the school’s first executive director of equity and inclusion.
“Creating this new position will sharpen FRCC’s focus on our goals of inclusive excellence, educational equity and advancing opportunity for all,” college president Andy Dorsey said in a statement announcing the hire.
