In the last couple of months, at least three former stars of the Citizen TV high school dramedy have gone public about their battles with alcoholism, depression, and financial difficulties. They include Dennis Mugo alias OJ, Angel Nyawira Waruinge alias Miss Morgan, and Joseph Kinuthia Kamau better known as Omosh. Joining them on the list is Bernard Mwangi famously known for his role as Mr. Mweposi. The 19-year-old girl was freed Monday after the complainants - police officers Dennis Mugo and Solomon Kipchumba - failed to produce a medical examination report, or P3. Ugunja OCPD Lazarus Tarus said Mugo was discharged from hospital on Sunday. “We released the girl yesterday on free bond. We could no longer hold her as the police officer who was a victim is yet to give a statement and fill a P3 form,” said Tarus. ....

Sheril Awino, a student of Rambula Secondary School, was on Monday freed from police custody after the complainants Dennis Mugo – her boyfriend – and Solomon Kipchumba failed to produce a P3 form to aid with the case. The form, a standard practice in assault cases, is used to request for medical examination to determine nature and extent of body injuries. Mugo and Kipchumba are attached to Ugunja Police Station. ....
In Kenya, a youthful police officer is fighting for his life at the Sagam Community Hospital in Luanda, Siaya County after he was on Christms day attacked by his girlfriend, who is a Form Three student. Sheryl Awino, 19, cut Dennis Mugo in the head with a broken glass, resulting in Mugo bleeding profusely. The incident happened at Mugoâs house in Ugunja, Siaya County. The cause of fight between the suspect, a student at St. Peterâs Rambula Mixed Secondary School, and the cop, who is attached to Ugunja Police Station, remains unclear. Police say Awino and Mugo had, Friday evening, been embroiled in a long and bitter physical fight, which resulted in the two breaking a glass table. ....
