Show Transcript HANNAH: IN YEAR’S PAST, DENIM HAS HUNG FROM THE WALLS OF CITY HALL OR FROM THE FENCES OF WAUWATOSA EAST HIGH SCHOOL, TO SHOW SUPPORT TO SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT. BUT WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PANDEMIC, SO IT WAS HELD VIRTUALLY, AND THIS YEAR, THERE FOCUSING ON A PARTICULAR COMMUNITY. IT IS A RECURRING THEME THROUGHOUT MY PERSONAL LIFE, CHILDHOOD ASSAULT, DEVELOPMENT AS A YOUNG PERSON, CAREER PERSON, AND PERSON OF COLOR. HANNAH: OVERALL, MILWAUKEE POLICE DEPARTMENT DATA SHOWS 743 SEXUAL ASSAULTS WERE REPORTED IN THE CITY IN 2020. THAT NUMBER IS SLIGHTLY LOWER
