Morehead State junior guard Skyelar Potter has been voted as the OVC Newcomer of the week. Potter, a transfer from Wright State from Bowling Green, Ky., earned his first-ever OVC weekly award, giving MSU four league honors this season (Johni Broome has three Freshman of the Week accolades). That is the most awards for the program in a single season since Kenneth Faried and Demonte Harper combined for nine in 2010-11. Potter scored a career-high 22 points in the Eagles game at then No. 24 Clemson on Dec. 21.
