'Indicative of Genocide': UK Report on Chinese Human Rights Abuses

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has “intensified an assault on all human rights” against every group and individual in China, Britain’s Conservative Party Human Rights Commission has alleged in a report, which claims to show evidence that the actions carried out by the regime are “indicative of the crime of genocide”.
In the report, 
The Darkness Deepens: The Crackdown on Human Rights in China 2016-2020   an advance copy of which was seen by Breitbart London the Commission detailed the stunning growth of authoritarianism in China carried out by the dictatorship in Beijing.
The report documented the implementation of mass surveillance systems, mass instances of modern-day slavery, torture, organ harvesting, the dismantling of promised freedoms in Hong Kong, and the crimes committed against ethnic minorities in Tibet and Xinjiang. ....

On the eve of the enactment of the Hong Kong National Security Law, Chief Executive Carrie Lam addressed the 44th session of the UN Human Rights Council: “[The law] will only target an extremely small minority of people.” Just over six months later, 93 people have been arrested under the new legislation, corresponding to an average of one arrest every two days.
The majority of those arrests came on January 6, when every candidate who ran in the 2020 pan-democratic camp primary election and five organizers were arrested for “subversion.” National security police accused the candidates of plotting to win a majority in order to paralyze the legislature, and ultimately force the Chief Executive to resign, a plan that is laid out and permitted in Hong Kong’s mini-constitution. ....

Hong Kong police arrested 53 democracy activists Wednesday on charges related to a new national security law.
The move appears to be the biggest
crackdown yet using the law passed by the government in Beijing. Critics say it is meant to silence dissent in the former British territory.
The raids largely targeted opposition candidates who took part last year in an independently organized, informal vote to be their party’s candidates in the territory’s legislative election. That election has been postponed. ....
