The Supreme Court is allowing elections officials to count mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania that lack a handwritten date but were received in time after Lehigh County residents sued to have their votes counted in a 2021 judicial race.
Mail-in ballots that are not dated must be counted, a federal appeals court said in an opinion that says this is exactly the type of disenfranchisement that Congress sought to prevent.
