CASPER, Wyo. A majority of the United States Senate voted to convict former President Donald Trump on a charge of “incitement of insurrection” on Saturday. However, the 57-43 vote was short of the 67 votes in support required to convict.
While Wyoming’s U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney voted in favor of impeaching Trump in the House, both Wyoming Sen. John Barrasso and Sen. Cynthia Lummis voted against convicting the former president in the Senate.
