The sites will be giving out the COVID-19 Johnson and Johnson vaccine beginning May 3. According to GEMA/HS, sites will administer the single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine as available to those who haven’t received the first dose of a different vaccine until operations end on May 21. ....
Gov. Kemp expands vaccine criteria for Georgians 55 and older, those with serious health conditions WSBTV.com News Staff Gov. Brian Kemp has once again expanded the criteria for COVID-19 vaccines. Nearly 3.3 million additional Georgians will now be eligible to get the vaccine. Starting March 15, Georgians who are 55 and older and Georgians who have serious health conditions will be eligible to receive their vaccines. These are the health conditions provided by the governor’s office: Asthma, cancer, cerebrovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, COPD, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions, immunocompromised state, liver disease, neurologic conditions (Dementia, ALS, Parkinson’s), overweight and obesity (BMI > 25), pulmonary fibrosis, Sickle Cell disease, thalassemia. ....

Kemp announced beginning March 17 a total of 9 mass vaccination sites will be available across Georgia. ATLANTA - Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp made clear Wednesday his intention to prioritize vaccinating teachers for COVID-19 and to improve the state s vaccination rate by opening five new mass vaccination sites. Five new vaccination sites will open on March 17. In addition to the previous four sites, the Georgia Department of Public Health will open sites in Chatham, Ware, Washington, Bartow, and Muscogee counties.
