Students filled buckets with river water and returned to the ballpark, covering more than three miles and learning what it’s like for many children who must collect water for their families every day.
In preparation for Water Day, the Monday evening challenge had students, including Gavin and Mason Le, experience what it’s like to sleep on the floor all night.
Second-grader Preston Steele was asked to experience what other children might have for dinner by eating only rice and beans.
