The national capital Delhi’s Covid-19 daily death toll continues to be a picture of worry, with Monday’s count coming in at 448 deaths, the highest ever so far since the pandemic outbreak last year. Monday marked the third consecutive day when the daily Covid-19 death toll surpassed the 400-mark.
New infections in the last 24 hours to Monday stood at 18,043, lower than 20,394 recorded in the previous day. The number of tests conducted on Monday stood at 61,045, the latest Delhi State Health Bulletin released on Monday night showed. ....

The national capital Delhi’s daily Covid-19 death toll, which has been a picture of worry, saw some moderation on Friday with death count coming at 375, lower than the all time high of 395 seen on Thursday.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that Delhi proposes to set up vaccination centres on a large scale so as to vaccinate all people above 18 years in the next three months from May 1.
The third phase of India s vaccination drive is set to launch on May 1 when all Indians above 18 years will be eligible for Covid vaccination.
“Had a meeting with the officials on vaccination drive in Delhi. Prepared a plan to vaccinate all above 18 years in the next 3 months. We will set up vaccination centres on a large scale. All eligible people must come forward to get vaccinated”, Kejriwal tweeted on Thursday. ....

In the last 24 hours up to Thursday, the new Covid19 count was 24,235 cases
The national capital Delhi recorded 395 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Delhi State Health Bulletin said on Thursday evening.
This was the highest single day rise in death toll in the city since the outbreak of the pandemic last year.
On Wednesday, the daily death count stood at 368. Prior to the latest daily death count of 395, the  highest ever single day death rate was recorded on Tuesday at 381.
In the last 24 hours upto Thursday, the total new covid19 count was 24,235, lower than 25,986 new  infections on Wednesday. ....
