Delhi: Yamuna continues to overflow but a significant decrease has been recorded in the water level. Yamuna river reached a height of 205.45 m on Tuesday but flooding continues. People in flood affected area were shifted to relief camps. , Delhi News, Times Now
Delhi breaches the danger mark as Yamuna's water level rises again following a surge in discharge from the Hathnikund Barrage into the river after heavy rain in parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
The river water level, which has been hovering around the danger mark of 205.33 metres for the last few days, dropped below the threshold again on Saturday morning
The official attributed the rise in levels to both rainfall that may have occurred upstream, as well water from the floodplains returning to the river.
