The Delhi government said in a status report that 47 relief camps were set up in the wake of the Yamuna floods and ‘proper food and other amenities were provided to flood-affected victims’.
The water levels of Delhi s Yamuna river could rise again from August 16, due to substantial rainfall in the hilly regions in HP, Uttarakhand and escalated water discharge from the Hathnikund barrage in Haryana. If the current pattern continues, the Yamuna s water levels in the national capital could experience a renewed surge.
