Democrats today killed two efforts aimed at strengthening election integrity in Virginia.
House Bill 1970 to reestablish voter ID rules, which would require voters to show a government-issued ID at the polls showing proof of residence, was killed today in a Privileges and Elections Committee subcommittee.
The subcommittee met virtually at 11 a.m. to discuss several election-related bills. Delegate Mark Cole (R-Spotsylvania, Stafford) introduced the legislation.
