president. so with us now, margaret hoover and also john avlon. i just wonder how you look at this in the sense of how much of what they decide here, even if trump ultimately loses on the merits or if it goes to the supreme court and he loses, how much of the times here really could shape what the election itself looks like? i think obviously that is donald trump s bet. he seems he believes that he will benefit from this attention. he will fundraise off it, he will say i m not being prosecuted, i m being persecuted. and rally around me. and i think the important thing to remember, this is another reminder of politics is really history. this is history stakes. this is a test in the court of where presidents have complete immunity. or whether they are ultimately held under account under the law as any other person once they leave office. and those stakes couldn t be higher for our democracy. even beyond delay attempts and
case intersect here? tell me definitively who gets priority here. i think there s a fair amount of overlap. and so i think the real question is, what is the former president do over the next course of days, weeks and months, to push her to move this trial up? she has already issued judge chutkan. judge chutkan has issued something of a warning. and i don t think, if he continues to try to put out social media posts that intimidate witnesses, arguably, that she is going to throw him in jail, or site him two for contempt. i do think there is a possibility that she decides i m going to move this trial of, as she warned him she would do, because she s worried about the integrity of the proceedings. and so if he continues to test her, i think we could see this case go before the georgia case, even though, obviously, the federal case is complex as well i think it is a possibility, even if there are delay attempts, that it could actually go before. yeah. it is more built for spe

moving things with more dispatch and has given trump s delay attempts in the past sort of back of the hand. so if i m betting, i think that will become the position pretty quickly because, again, the classified documents issue is going to give a real chance for trump to play for additional delays before judge cannon. garrett, anything from the former president and his team? not on the specifics of this, and that s probably by design. we ve seen him this week trying to look like there s nothing amiss. he had a movie screening at bedminster two nights ago. yesterday he put out a couple videos. he just released a video i was walking in on a new policy proposal for the death penalty for human traffickers. they want this period of time to look like everything is going as planned here. and to talk about either special counsel investigation, it s to remind their voters he s a target for them. that has been the overriding message from the trump campaign and i suspect what we ll hear from t
