The Department of Science and Technology’s Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) has released data that one out of two Filipino adults have borderline to high cholesterol levels, justifying our roles as the health watcher of the house. 
Alarming numbers
According to the eighth National Nutrition Survey, there is an increase from 28 percent in 2003 to 47.2 percent in 2013 of Filipinos above 20 years old with the risk of suffering from cardiovascular diseases. We know how much Filipinos love to eat, so this particular statistic wasn’t as surprising but it is alarming. ....
