Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Assistant Chief Jeff Wright Retires After 22 Years of Service

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) Assistant Chief of Medical Services Jeff Wright has retired after nearly 22 years of dedicated service to the department.
“It has been an honor and privilege to work alongside some of the best,” Wright said.  “I’ve made some lifelong friend that I’m forever grateful for.”
A retirement gather was held for Wright on Friday, Nov. 3 at MFRD Administration Building.

Two deaths occur at DeKalb County Jail within three days -

Officials with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said two deaths recently occurred at the DeKalb County Jail within a three-day period. The news comes after two inmates died within a week of one another in July.The latest two deaths occurred Aug. 14 and Aug. 16.
