Many veterans have been upset on the delay of Mare Island Naval Cemetery’s ownership being transferred from the City of Vallejo to the Veterans Affairs Association. However, Vallejo City Staff is saying the process could be finalized on Thursday despite a recent snafu. The finalization could come just in time for Sunday’s Veterans Day Ceremony. Newsom signed the MINC Transfer Documents – the critical item for MINC’s transfer to the US Department of Veterans Affairs as mandated by Section 9107 of U.S. Public Law 116-283.
