Gold Cup: USMNT s Shaq Moore nets fastest goal in team history to top Canada

Defender Shaq Moore scored in the first minute of the game, his first career international goal, and that was all the United States men s national team needed to defeat Canada 1-0 in the group play finale of the Gold Cup on Sunday.
The goal came just 20 seconds into the contest, giving Moore the fastest goal in USMNT history. Clint Dempsey previously held the record after scoring in 34 seconds against Ghana in the 2014 World Cup.
The early goal, though, would be the lone bright spot for the U.S. in the match. Canada was the better side for most of the game but was unable to find an equalizer.
