When the Vyomanauts (as Indian astronauts are referred to) will be ready for their space mission, they will not go empty-handed. Just like an Indian mother would pack home-cooked meals for her child before he/she leaves home, the Indian astronauts will be all set with Meals-Ready-to-Eat (MRE) items like mango pickles, veg biryani, chicken korma and moong dal halwa, all thanks to
Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL).

ANANTAPUR: Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has come forward to assist in the manufacture of agriculture equipment for processing of horticulture produces through its Defence Food Research Laboratory to benefit farmers in drought-hit areas.
DRDO chairman Sathish Reddy responded positively to be part of measures aimed at uplift of the farming community through cost-effective innovations.
