A number of businesses - including one formerly based in Malton - have been named and shamed on the Government s list of tax defaulters. HMRC has published the details of those businesses given financial penalties for failing to comply with tax obligations or deliberately filing errors in tax returns. HMRC s Publishing Details of Deliberate Defaulters scheme flags up when a person or business has made at least one deliberate default on more than £25,000. In the region, a string of businesses connected to Harpers restaurants and one car garage have been named. A FAST food chain and a Japanese restaurant are among the latest businesses to apply for a premises licence. Harry Ramsden s at Cheshire Oaks and Hamayuu on Watergate Street, Chester, have submitted applications to Cheshire West and Chester Council to supply alcohol on and off the premises. The application put forward by Deep Blue Restaurants Ltd, the parent company of Harry Ramsden s, also includes having the opening hours as 9am until 10pm, Monday to Sunday. Consultation over the proposals runs until January 15. Hamayuu Ltd is applying for a premises licence to supply alcohol on and off the premises during the proposed opening hours of 10am until 11.30pm, Monday to Sunday. ....
