For years, Mid-Michigan's roughly 550 unhomed residents have found support, services and shelter during the winter months through the Isabella County Restoration House. Now, the nonprofit and its board are setting their sites on a permanent place for those without one to call home.
In the years since the Isabella County Restoration House began a rotating winter shelter for the homeless in the Mt. Pleasant area, the goal has been not only to provide temporary housing, but also to get them get back on their feet.
