Barbour goes ahead with the license plate and has them manufactured and put on cars in the state? what happens then? well, i ll be interested to see how far his bid for the presidency goes if he seeks to be silent on this issue and it demonstrates how he will govern as president. we need to move forward as a country, as a unified country, respecting and honoring all citizens and not divided the way we were in the past. governor barbour now has an opportunity to stand up and be a true leader of this state. why is he doing that? mr. johnson, why isn t the governor standing up and saying we re not going down that road? it seems like he doesn t want to separate himself from the very people who were proposing this. he thinks there must be some political downside and the black folks of mississippi are just going to have to accept this. how do you feel about that? what should he do? we have the highest percentage of african-americans of any state in the country. ....
