Nobody needs a vehicle like the 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat, but like so many other absurdly fast cars on the market, we’re very glad it exists.
Dodge has been building the current-generation Durango since 2011, which in the automotive world makes it quite aged. However, much like the similarly-old Challenger and Charger, Dodge has discovered that it can appease most of its customers by simply adding more power. That’s exactly what it has done with the SRT Hellcat.
The range-topping Durango is powered by the car manufacturer’s supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 that pumps out 710 hp and 645 lb-ft (874 Nm) of torque. This engine is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels and allowing the SUV to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds. It can also run down the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds and max out at 180 mph (290 km/h). ....
