Runcorn man first to have Covid-19 vaccine at hospital

An 82-year-old man from Runcorn, Cheshire, has become the first patient to receive a Covid-19 vaccine at Warrington Hospital.
James White received the dose from occupational health nurse Lorraine Kenyon at the hospital’s vaccination hub, which opened on Tuesday.
A hospital spokeswoman said Mr White said he was “just looking forward to being able to go and visit his grandchildren” when possible.
His vaccination was then completed by Lead Nurse Deb Hatton, after which he said: “I asked about it today at my appointment and they said I could have it, so I jumped at the chance as I want to feel safer and see my family.” ....

A MAN from Runcorn has become the first person to receive the coronavirus vaccine at Warrington Hospital after it officially launched its vaccination programme.
James White and Bill Vernon became the first patients to be given the Pfizer vaccine at the hospital last night, Tuesday, in its new vaccination hub.
After receiving the first dose from occupational health nurse Lorraine Kenyon, 82-year-old Runcorn resident James said he was looking forward to being able to visit his grandchildren when possible.
Soon afterwards, Warrington resident Bill, 84, was vaccinated by lead nurse Deb Hatton. ....
