I know it has been very highly praised, and not many people have gone to see it, but it has been critically tremendously well received. Ifound it. I think that there is a pulse of confusion in it i wasnt clear What Scorsese was actually trying to say. The directors that he admires, the religious directors carl dreyer, withjoan of arc, or Robert Bresson and there is a euphoria in those sorts of films. A movie likejoan of arc. And yet you kind of think, this was scorseses moment to join the ranks of those kind of directors, and im not sure that he has done it, but i know that many people disagree with me.
